The primary purpose of this position is to increase sales and profitability for the business unit in the assigned region. He/she is responsible for developing and implementing local strategies in support of the goals and general strategies of the division. He/she is responsible for all Product Specialist in the region assigned, concerning hiring, managing, training, directing, developing, monitoring, motivating and dismissal in regular consultation with the Area Business Manager.


  • Develop and implement a regional business plan that anticipates and identifies challenges in the market in order to meet established goals and strategies for the division.
  • Provide direction, support, training and guidance to all Product Specialist within the assigned region to help achieve individual and organizational goals. This includes but is not limited to the following:
    i. Set sales targets for the Product Specialists on an individual region basis.
    ii. Set sales targets with Distributors as appropriate and monitor ongoing performance of the Distributor against sales target.
    iii. Conduct performance evaluations for Product Specialist.
    iv. Conduct performance evaluations for Distributors each quarter.
  • Maintain frequent and consistent field coaching schedules with assigned Product Specialist to assist Product Specialist to continually improve performance.
  • Liaise with the Area Business Manager on price setting.
  • Responsible for managing the divisional marketing budget in the assigned region.
  • To form partnerships and work closely with Distributors to enable them to meet their business plan to generate increased sales in the region.
  • Accountable for all tender, bids, pricing activities in the assigned region.
  • Select, organize and participate in local and international exhibitions and meetings in consultation with distributors.
  • Maintain active relationships with key accounts and key regional physicians.
  • Ensure that Product Specialists are well trained in product, procedures and sales skills.
  • Ensure that product complaints are addressed in established procedures, monitored and actively addressed in a consistent and timely manner with full details.
  • Provide feed-back to the Area Business Manager regarding business plan achievement, customer situation and sales activities for each Distributor each quarter.
  • To submit a monthly summary report of region sales achieved, marketing activities, product promotions, competitors activity each month to Area Business Manager.


  • Degree holder, major in Science, Medical, Pharmacy, Biology or other related discipline
  • At least 2 years of solid sales experience in medical, pharmaceutical or other relevant industry is preferred
  • Knowledge in Peripheral Intervention Products is a definite advantage
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) essential
