Overview

Reporting to Clinical Product Support Manager, the Clinical Scientist is responsible for providing clinical support for Cook’s reproductive health product line in the assigned region through direct embryologists and physician interaction, medical staff education and procedural consultation. The reproductive health division at Cook Medical focuses on devices for assisted reproduction, gynecologic imaging, high-risk pregnancy, and fetal diagnosis.

Responsibilities

The Key Accountabilities:

  • Provide clinical support during procedures
  • Identify, establish, support and develop relationships with key clinical and non-clinical decision-makers to clinically support company product lines
  • Educate and update customers through in-servicing training, literature, videos and articles approved by the company
  • Provide clinical experience to the sales teams, product development, marketing, training, quality assurance and other internal groups
  • Maintain knowledge of reproductive health product lines, clinical procedures, business ethics and other educational requirements
  • Support the annual business plan to help the sales team meet or exceed
  • Maintain frequent communication with sales teams, regional managers and other support functions
  • Maintain accurate and timely reports and records
  • Travel as required, up to 70%

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred, or experience of such kind and amount as to provide a comparable background essential
  • Experience as an Embryologist essential
  • 3 years of experience in a clinical environment preferred
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office proficiency required
  • Fluency in both oral and written English essential
  • Excellent time management, planning and organising skills essential.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in collaborative and independent work situations and environments with minimal supervision
  • Ability to remain calm and receptive in fast paced situations
  • This position requires access to hospitals and health care facilities and is subject to compliance with facility-specific vendor credentialing policies which may include evidence of vaccinations for relevant vaccine preventable diseases as well as COVID-19 vaccination status, satisfactory police check and ability to obtain working with children certificate
