Overview

Human Resources Generalist 2, Japan (location: Nakano-ku, Tokyo, Japan)

The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for managing the daily Human Resources operations (including updating company policy and attending safety committee) He/she also responsible for providing necessary assistance and support to employees.
Under general supervision, assist and support Japan Human Resources Manager to achieve the department goals.

Responsibilities

Recruitment (permanent/contractor):
- Partnering with the hiring manager to look after talent acquisition process, from employee requisition up to offering in Japan.
- Exploring and managing the recruitment channels in Japan to ensure an efficient and effective recruitment processes.
- Conduct necessary administrative tasks in relation to recruitment. (candidate documentation, record keeping, etc.)

EHS:
- Participate in the monthly health committee as Committee Secretariat.
- Provide necessary data to prepare health committee materials.
- Responsible for managing annual stress check and health check, and providing necessary support and follow-up with employees.

Company Policy/Employee Representative Selection:
- Create/modify company policies so they are always up to date and in alignment with local regulations and Corporate guideline.
- Create and modify labor-management agreements where necessary and managing the employee representative selection process.

On-boarding to Off-boarding Process Management:
- Arrange and deliver company orientation for new employees.
- Access and update HRIS and other HR systems/data for Japan and help other HR staff to tackle the problems they encountered.

Training:
- Work closely with HR Manager, implement/roll-out necessary trainings for employees development in Japan.

Compensation and Benefits:
- Responsible for the compensation and benefits programs and payroll for Japan.
- Responsible for the annual salary review process and related administrative task for Japan.
- Under guidance of Japan HR Manager, support Finance Team for tax audits.

Employee Relations:
- Support HR Manager to mediate and resolve employee conflicts wherever needed.
- Act as POC for employee-level for HR related issues.

Performance Management:
- Assist HR Manager in handling employee issues, like execution of performance development plan.
- Assist HR Manager to prepare and provide necessary information/sessions to employees.

Regional/Global Project Support:
- Support global and regional projects under the guidance of the HR Manager.

Data Analysis/Reporting:
- Provide HR-related data analysis and reporting where required.

Others:
- HR administrative tasks related to the job
- Support other HR team members as backup
- Ad-hoc tasks requested by HR Manager

- Understand and be accountable for conducting COOK business with integrity and in compliance with applicable standards including COOK policies

- Within scope of responsibility, ensure all quality, regulatory, compliance and product-specific requirements are met

Qualifications

- Degree holder in HRM, BA or other related discipline
- With 3-5 years relevant working experience gained from multinational companies
- Sound knowledge to local (and other APAC country) employment ordinance
- Analytical, self-initiative, good time management, task and result oriented, with strong problem solving skill
- Excellent presentation, communication and negotiation skills
- Organized and flexible, can work independently and work under pressure with general supervision
