Reporting to the Manager, Research and Development, on a 24-month contract, you will join a diverse group of experienced engineers and scientists to progress research and development projects for new and existing products within the division. You will get to learn and gain experience in a company with a long history of providing quality, innovative products to patients across the globe. 

Responsibilities

  • Actively contribute to new product development within the R&D department.
  • Provide a disciplined approach to product development engineering through the application of rigorous engineering and risk management principles.
  • Coordinate and/or research engineering activities for a delegated project and conduct ongoing assessments of the project’s technical risks.
  • Liaise with the project leader to agree on project priorities and provide regular feedback on progress.
  • Liaise with all functional departments as needed to ensure timely delivery of project milestones to a high quality.
  • Contribute to identification and implementation of strategies for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

We are seeking people who align with our company values and have a passion for providing quality solutions to our patients. To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

 

  • Professional Engineering Qualifications essential.
  • Medical/Mechanical Engineering preferred.
  • Similar Engineering experience from a highly regulated industry (Medical Device industry experience preferred).
  • Knowledge and experience in the application of Medical Device Design Controls.
  • Project management skills preferred.
  • Ability to critically think – to encourage innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Personal accountability with a results-orientated focus.
