The Opportunity:

Are you an enthusiastic and disciplined Senior Maintenance Technician that likes variety in your role?  Do you have an interest in medical devices? 

 

This is an incredible opportunity to use your skills to provide support to production or engineering with mechanical and electrical installations. You will also be responsible for ensuring that maintenance activities (scheduled or breakdown) are completed on time and to Australian Standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance on plant and equipment both electrical and non-electrical following maintenance schedules and procedures.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair faults on production equipment. Test and make necessary adjustments to ensure proper operation before releasing equipment back to production
  • Record and sign-off activities in computerised maintenance management system
  • Ensure spare parts are ordered and in stock for planned maintenance events
  • Liaise with equipment manufacturers, or agents for equipment services or repairs

Qualifications

  • Trade qualified mechanical fitter with restricted electrical qualifications or electrical fitter/mechanic license (full license) or similar essential
  • Demonstrated experience performing high quality maintenance activities on plant, production machines and equipment essential
  • Demonstrated experience in a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) environment like pharmaceutical, defence, food, automotive or chemicals desirable
  • Experience working within a Quality Management System (QMS) desirable
  • Experience with the maintenance of production robotics, automated production equipment and experience with programmable logic controllers (PLC) highly desirable
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in relation to safety, including risk management
