The primary purpose of this position is to support senior leadership decision-making by gathering, analysing, and disseminating data and information on Cook Medical’s business landscape in China. The Market Insights Analyst/Manager recommends, leads, and delivers on market intelligence, primary and secondary research projects and is responsible for providing the organization with knowledge of market conditions to support Cook’s strategy.
Data collection and analysis:
• Designs and administers qualitative and quantitative primary research, including web-based surveys, focus groups, and in-depth interviews.
• Creates reports and presentations of research findings by summarizing key insights, providing detailed findings, and generating recommendations for action. Presents insights in a storytelling format.
• Performs analysis on industry, markets, products and competitors to develop a comprehensive understanding of external business conditions.
• Develop and implement a structured, practical, fact-based approach to market, competitor, business analysis and strategy development.
• Analyzes data using statistical techniques and software tools and synthesises data into meaningful and insightful reports/visualization/ communications to inform business decisions. Project Management & Execution:
• Lead and manage projects include project scoping, process mapping, liaising with stakeholders, making sure milestones are met, and rollout plans.
• Sets project and task deadlines, monitors progress and prepares project status reports for management.
• Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness when identifying and defining requirements. Organise and participate in requirements meetings.
• Shares, organizes and archives research projects and data.
• Coordinates projects with external research partners. Stakeholder Engagement & Communication:
• Coordinate and align with internal and external stakeholders, including APAC teams.
• Partners with stakeholders to understand business strategies and research needs.
• Maintains strong business acumen and a deep understanding of the market.
• Facilitates meetings to discuss research objectives, plans, project status updates, deliver insights, and foster collaboration. Works closely with external partners to support recruitment and research needs.
Quality, Compliance & Improvement:
• Ensure projects comply with local and applicable regulations and standards.
• Contribute to process improvements and best practices. Administrative & Operational Support:
• Attend office/virtual meetings and phone calls.
• Travel in and out of China as required.
1. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Marketing, Statistics, Economics, Psychology or Behavioral Science or related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the field of market research and data analysis required.
3. Experience in primary (qualitative and quantitative) and secondary market research required.
4. Fluency in English (written and verbal) required.
5. Experience in the healthcare or medical device industry preferred.
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
7. Experience using a statistics software preferred.
8. Experience using qualtrics or other survey platform preferred.
9. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
10.Strong project management, communication (English & Chinese), problem-solving, and stakeholder coordination experience.
