Overview

Reporting to the Director, Ethics & Compliance (APAC), you’ll be the key Ethics & Compliance contact for Cook Australia, partnering with leaders and teams across the business. You’ll help deliver and continuously improve our local compliance program by supporting the rollout of policies, procedures, and training aligned to Cook’s global framework and applicable regulations. You’ll also provide support across specialist areas including data privacy, global trade compliance, anti-bribery and corruption, investigations, and social impact & sustainability.

 

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys influencing without authority, building trusted relationships, and translating regulatory requirements into practical ways of working.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the key Ethics & Compliance contact for Cook Australia, partnering with sales, functions and manufacturing/production.
  • Provide day-to-day advice on policies, procedures, and interactions with third parties (including Healthcare Professionals).
  • Deliver and support compliance training and communications, including developing and reviewing content and sharing updates.
  • Conduct monitoring and audit activities, identify compliance issues, and drive corrective action plans through to resolution.
  • Support the Regional and Global E&C program, maintain local compliance documentation, and assist with investigations as required.

Qualifications

  • Relevant tertiary qualification
  • Strong compliance experience, with the ability to interpret requirements and apply them in day-to-day decisions
  • Experience in a regulated environment (medical devices/healthcare highly regarded)
  • Strong organisation and prioritisation skills, with solid Microsoft Office capability (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Sound judgement, knowing when to approve, when to seek input, and when to escalate
  • High integrity and a proactive, self-directed approach, with the ability to influence and communicate effectively at all levels
  • Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP-I) preferred, plus willingness to travel occasional
