Overview

An exciting new opportunity has opened at Cook Australia based at our Head Office in Eight Mile Plains.

 

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Training Specialist position is mainly responsible for ensuring that the business training needs are met in accordance with quality, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in identifying key competencies throughout each department of the business
  • Determine training needs to help employees develop the right skills and knowledge for the job
  • Develop training programs to improve performance of the company as a whole
  • Work closely with all functions and divisions to ensure adherence to Quality Standards and Regulations.
  • Lobby the importance of continued improvement of the training process and systems throughout the organisation
  • Assist in the preparation of the Training function for Regulatory and Corporate Audits.
  • Ensure that all training is carried out in accordance with ISO13485 and FDA quality system requirements
  • Maintain the functionality of the electronic learning systems and ensure the accuracy of training records in adherence with ISO13485 and FDA quality system requirements
  • Input training records in the learning management system ensuring highest precision of data input
  • Support the continuous improvements of the electronic learning systems to meet the changing needs of the business

Qualifications

  • Relevant qualifications in Training and Development or other related discipline and/or extensive years of experience in a similar role
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry preferred
  • Must enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with various learning management systems
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) essential
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills essential (e.g. Liaise, consult and negotiate)
  • Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills essential
  • Highly organised with a focus on attention to detail
  • Must maintain company quality and quantity standards
  • Must be proficient in English oral and written communication skills
